[ARCHIVED] Water Main rupture

Water Main rupture closes N. Market St. north of Routzahn's Way and Rt. 26 in both directions.

On today's date, 07-19-2012, at approximately 1940 hours, Officers with the Frederick Police Department responded to a Water Main rupture on N. Market St. The location of the rupture is on N. Market St. just north of Routzahn's Way. N. Market St. will be closed between Routzahn's Way and Rt. 26 in both directions. It is unknown how long the roadway will be closed and City of Frederick Department of Public Works officials are on scene at this time. Motorists are encouraged to use Routzahn's Way as a means to access N. Market St. southbound from Rt. 26 as well as a way to access Rt. 26 from N. Market St. when traveling north.
