The City of Frederick Department of Housing and Human Services is thrilled to announce the grand opening celebration of the Frederick Food Bank at Trinity, an expansion of food and nutrition services aimed at supporting individuals and families in need.
The Frederick Food Bank at Trinity, which has been operational for several months, will celebrate its opening on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 6040 New Design Road, Frederick, MD 21703.
The community is invited to join in the festivities. The event will offer free flu shots and health screenings, food donation collection, food distribution to families, free snow cones and entertainment courtesy of KEY 103. It's an opportunity for neighbors to come together and celebrate this addition to the city's support network and to receive services.
The Frederick Food Bank at Trinity is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity in our community. This location will operate for food distribution from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and offers ample parking and easy accessibility, making it even more convenient for residents seeking assistance. This additional location complements the services available at the Frederick Food Bank located downtown at 14 East All Saints Street, which remains open from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, as well as from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday.
The City of Frederick Department of Housing and Human Services recognizes the importance of a collaborative effort in addressing food insecurity. They welcome the support of the community and will be accepting in-kind food and cash donations during the grand opening event. These contributions ensure that the Food Bank can continue its mission of providing assistance to those who need it most.
