At approximately 10:45 a.m., FPD officers responded to an incident in the 1200 block of West Patrick Street, which involved a motor vehicle accident and a pedestrian.
Initial response by officers and Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services personnel included life-saving efforts on the pedestrian involved. Despite their best efforts, the pedestrian, identified as an adult male, succumbed to injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Mack truck remained on the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
The Crash Reconstruction Team continues to actively investigate this incident and urges anyone with information, who has not yet spoken with officers, to come forward.
