Frederick police officer, Adam Anderson, arrested Benjamin D. Good of the unit block of Winchester, MD for possession of suspected heroine while conducting a welfare check on a small child.
At approximately 8:45 p.m. on August 16th, Frederick police officers responded to the Sheetz at 1300 E. Patrick St to conduct a welfare check on a small child that was called in by a customer. The customer was concerned for the welfare of the child because his parents both appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the family and discovered that the child's Father, Good, was in possession of a quantity of suspected heroine as well as being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance. Good was arrested and tramsported to Frederick Memorial Hospital by ambulance after he complained about a pre-existing injury. He was medically cleared by hospital staff and then transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he was processed and given a $5000 bond. Child Protective Services was notified and provided accommodations for lodging for the child and mother until they could respond and initiate an investigation.
