Frederick Police charged two subjects for there involvement in a strong armed robbery that occurred in the area of McCain Drive and Apple Way on July 9th,2012.
On August 29th, 2012 detectives with the Frederick Police Departments criminal investigation division charged one adult and one juvenile with their involvement in a strong armed robbery. This incident occurred on July 9th, 2012 in the area of Apple Way and McCain Drive. Det. Garcia charged Mr. Anthony Lamont Carroll with robbery and other criminal offenses in reference to this incident. The juvenile was charged and the case was forwarded to the department of juvenile services for processing. Detectives continue to follow-up on leads in regards to the identity of a third suspect.
On 07-09-2012 at approximately 9:00pm the victim was in the area of McCain Drive and the Los Trios Restaurant when three black males approached him. The victim stated that he was knocked to the ground and was punched and kicked. During this assault the victim stated that one of the three suspects took his wallet from his pants pocket and also his cell phone. The victim was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital and treated for minor injuries. It was determined through this investigation that the victim’s credit card, which was in his wallet at the time of the robbery, was used by the suspects. On 08-29-2012 Mr. Carroll turned himself in to detectives at the Frederick County Adult Detention center and was charged with robbery.
