Frederick Police detectives investigate shots fired incident...
On 10/01/2012, at approximately 1733 hours, a discharge of a firearm call was received by the Frederick Police Department in the area of the 400 block of W. South St. Frederick, MD. Officers and detectives received information that a large group of people had been involved in a fight just prior to their arrival at the scene. Several callers also reported hearing gunfire during the altercation. A crime scene was located in the 400 block of W. South St. which confirmed the information received. A victim, related to the incident, was located a short time later suffering from a stab wound. The victim was flown to Shock Trauma and later released after it was discovered that his wounds were non-life threatening. No other victims in this case have come forward.
This case is actively being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Frederick Police Department.
