[ARCHIVED] Vehicle Collision

At approximately midnight on Saturday, October 5th, Frederick Police Officers responded to a vehicle collision in the 100 block of West Patrick St., where one of the vehicles, a 2002 Chevy Corvette convertable, overturned after the driver lost control and struck a parked Dodge pickup truck. Police and members of the Frederick County Fire and Rescue Service were on the scene for over an hour as Fire/Rescue members stabilized the Corvette and extracted the driver before the vehicles were finally removed from the scene. The driver of the Corvette was transported by ambulance to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown where he was treated for minor injuries and will be released. The incident is under investigation to determine if alcohol was a factor in the collision.
