[ARCHIVED] Absentee Ballot Deadline Nears for November 6th Presidential General Election

Frederick County residents who wish to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed are reminded that the deadline for receipt of an absentee ballot application for the November 6, 2012, presidential general election is Tuesday, October 30, 2012.

Absentee Ballot Deadline Nears for November 6th
Presidential General Election
Frederick, MD -- Frederick County residents who wish to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed are reminded that the deadline for receipt of an absentee ballot application for the November 6, 2012, presidential general election is Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Written requests must reach the elections office by Tuesday, October 30, at 8:00 p.m. or may be faxed to 301-600-2344 or e-mailed to electionboard@frederickcountymd.gov no later than 11:59 p.m.
Requests for an absentee ballot must include the following information: name, date of birth, Frederick County address, the address to which you want your ballot sent if other than your Frederick County address, daytime telephone number, and your signature. The absence of any of these items could result in a delay in processing the application.
The absentee ballot application can be found online at the Board of Elections website at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/elections. Click on the link at the left side of the page that reads “Absentee Ballot Information.” Follow all instructions, and return the completed application by the deadline.
Voters who wish to pick up an absentee ballot must do so in person -- no one may do this for them. The elections office will be open for absentee voting weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The application form to request an absentee ballot may be picked up and returned by someone other than the applicant; however, the actual ballot will only be mailed to the applicant.
The elections office is located in the basement of Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Md.
