I should not have gotten this citation. Can the police void it?
Once the citation is written, neither the police officer nor the parking enforcement officer can void the ticket. However, there is a process by which the citation can be administratively reviewed and the citation adjusted for the following reasons only:
  • Inoperable meters
  • Valid Disabled Permit
  • Valid Residential Permit
  • Contractors with a prepaid rental
  • Inaccurate information on citation.
You can contact the parking department in writing or call the parking department at (301) 600-1429.
