What happens if a vehicle is abandoned?
It is unlawful to leave a vehicle parked on a city street for more than 48 consecutive hours without moving it. It is unlawful to abandon a vehicle on a city street. Leaving a vehicle in an inoperable condition may constitute a prima-facie case of abandonment. It is unlawful to park a vehicle on a city street that is not displaying current, valid registration plates. Frederick City Code 13-27.
