  1. Frederick County Chamber: Women in Business - Working Mothers - Achieving Work/Life Balance

November 7, 2019, All Day @ Tenth Ward Distilling Company

According to the latest numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 70 percent of American mothers with children under 18 work. Life as a working mother can be an isolating, overwhelming experience for many. Women often struggle with "mom guilt" and the concept of maintaining their own identity along with a healthy work/life balance. Join the Women in Business committee of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce for a panel discussion centering around working mothers, the challenges of raising a family, pursuing a career and the elusive concept of balance. This panel of three accomplished businesswomen and mothers have found different ways to balance work, their families, their communities and their own needs. The objective of the panel will be to offer different perspectives and open up the conversation of navigating trying to have it all (or ‘being a great mother, partner, and employee, while still taking care of yourself’). Lunch is included.
