  1. Wordpress Websites 101-Developing A Website For Your Business

    January 17, 2020, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ 118 N Market Street, Root Building, Frederick, MD 21701

These days, reputable businesses are expected to have a website and businesses without one give the impression of being outdated to many consumers. A website is the foundation for most successful businesses around the world, whether or not they have a brick and mortar building. Unfortunately, many small business owners forego this critical business tool because they cannot afford the high price of many developers & they lack the skills to build a website themselves. This workshop will demonstrate how anyone, with only basic computer keyboarding skills, can create a professional website in a single weekend, & in some cases in a few short hours. Participants will learn how to obtain their own website address, select a hosting company, install Wordpress, set up their website navigation, upload pictures/text, create links within their mock website, add products to sell and more. Each participant needs to bring a laptop computer and a folder of pictures/images/logo to create a webpage.
